Denis Zakharov stays in St. Petersburg!
Denis joined Zenit in the summer of 2020 and participated in 133 official matches over four seasons. Together with the team, he won eight trophies, becoming the champion of the VTB United League and Russia, twice winning the Supercup, once the Russian Cup, and three times the Kondrashin and Belov Cup. He also has silver medals in the Supercup and the Russian Cup, as well as twice receiving bronze medals in the VTB League.
Last season, Zakharov returned to the court after a serious injury sustained in January 2023. He took part in 27 matches, averaging 2.4 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game. In the Russian Cup, Denis played in six games, contributing an average of 8.8 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.
Denis has scored a lot of important buckets for Zenit. And his precise 3-point-shot in Game 7 of the VTB United League finals against CSKA will forever remain in the memory of our fans.
