Media categories
The following categories of media representatives may be accredited by the club for the season on a permanent basis:
— Representatives of print media (newspapers, magazines);
— Representatives of online media (registered publications, sports portals);
— Representatives of television and radio companies;
— Photo correspondents (staff and freelance, accredited by editorial offices);
— Bloggers and media resource authors (Telegram, VK, Max, Rutube, and other social networks), provided that all of the following criteria are met:
- a confirmed and active audience of at least 1000 subscribers on a single social network;
- the average engagement rate of publications (total reactions and comments) must be at least 5% of the number of subscribers over the past calendar month; the applicant must provide 2-3 publications confirming this indicator;
- publications must be regular and systematic (at least twice a week);
- content must comply with professional and ethical standards.
— Bloggers and media resource authors (Telegram, VK, Max, Rutube, and other social networks) who held season accreditation in the previous season.
The following categories of media representatives are not eligible for permanent seasonal accreditation:
— Bloggers and media resource authors whose:
- confirmed and active audience is less than 1000 subscribers on a single social network;
- average engagement rate of publications (total reactions and comments) is less than 5% of subscribers over the last calendar month;
- publications are irregular and unsystematic (less than twice a week);
- published content and information are destructive or contain materials that offend or discredit the club, its players, coaches, or staff.
Provided that the content complies with the professional and ethical standards listed above, such media representatives may be granted single-match accreditations at the club’s discretion for an unlimited number of matches. If the eligibility criteria change during the season, the media accreditation status may also be revised.
Media accreditation procedure
Permanent media accreditation is conducted before the start of the season (the club may, at its discretion, issue a seasonal accreditation during the season). An announcement of the procedure is published on the club’s official website (usually between August and September). A deadline is set for application submissions. Applications sent after the deadline will only be considered for single-match accreditation.
Once the club’s security department approves an application, the journalist receives an email notification with the details of where and when to collect the accreditation badge. Typically, badges can be collected before the first home game of the season or before any subsequent game.
In the 2025/26 season, the Zenit first team competes in the VTB United League and the WINLINE Basket Cup. The team’s home games are held at the CSC Arena (St. Petersburg, Futbolnaya Alley, 8).
The сlub’s reserve teams traditionally participate in the following competitions:
- Zenit-2 — FONBET Russian Championship (Super League) and Gazprombank Russian Cup;
- Zenit U21 — VTB United Youth League (under 21);
- Zenit U19 — Children's Youth Basketball League (under 19).
Home matches of the reserve teams take place at the Zenit Basketball Academy (St. Petersburg, Severnaya Road, 12).
Season accreditation grants access to all Zenit system home matches, both regular season and playoffs.
Throughout the season, media representatives may also apply for single-match accreditation. Applications must be sent to the general email of the club and the Zenit Basketball Academy media team: media@bc-zenit.com no later than 24 hours before the start of the game.
