Zenit-2 head coach Oliver Popovic shared his thoughts on the away victory over Temp-SUMZ (77:88).
Before the game, I mentioned that Revda is a very good, strong team. They play physically well for all 40 minutes. Their level is close to the VTB United League, that’s how they play. Today, our team responded well to that. We lost concentration a couple of times, but everything was fine in the end, and we won, so congratulations again. Temp-SUMZ has been playing strong at a very high level before this game as well. This was one of the toughest away games for us. Of course, there are a few more teams, but it’s very difficult to play here.
Blue-whites forward Pavel Zemskiy also commented on the outcome of the match.
The match went great. We beat a team considered one of the championship favorites, which is really pleasing. We managed to overcome the opponent's pressure and tension throughout the game, all the guys gave 100% on both ends of the court. In the second half, we improved our defense, which helped us secure the victory. I definitely want to thank all the fans who watched the broadcast and supported us!
