Zenit parts ways with Andrey Zubkov
The forward joined the blue-whites in the summer of 2019. During his five seasons in St. Petersburg, he helped the main team debut in the Euroleague and then reach the playoffs of the continent's top tournament, win the Kondrashin and Belov Cup three times, claim the Supercup twice, and, for the first time in history, become the champion of the VTB United League and the winner of the Russian Cup. Additionally, Andrey earned silver in the Supercup and the National Cup, as well as two bronze medals in the VTB United League.
Since the end of the 2021/22 season, Zubkov has served as captain. With Zenit, Andrey participated in 247 official matches, which is the second-highest number in the club's rankings.
In the recently concluded VTB League season, the forward took part in 50 games, averaging 3.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. In the Russian Cup, Andrey played in six matches, averaging 4.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.
