Denis Zakharov: "We went all in and eventually won"

Zenit guard Denis Zakharov shared his opinion on the last match of the United League season for Zenit (88:77):

— Of course, we are happy to win, we always want to end on a positive note. As many people have already said, this was not what we were originally going for, we wanted to play in the finals, but there is what there is. It's good that we stayed professional and won bronze for the club and for the city.

Where did the forces in the ending come from? Yes, I would not say that it appeared… It has been disappearing for a long time (laughs). But we tried, we understood that it would not be there for the fifth game. We gave everything that was left, as they say, went all in and eventually won.
