Xavi Pascual: "We need to recover well and to be ready for a difficult game on Sunday"
— First of all, thanks to all the fans that were over here. We wish next week, with the last two games before the New Year, UNICS and Uralmash, to have the stadium full. But before we have to go to Enisey, so we need to recover well and to be ready for a difficult game on Sunday. For our game I would like to wish all the best to Astana until the end of the season. And we play one game more or less with good moments, sharing minutes for all the players. And we have to close the game with good feelings and thinking to the next game, as I said before.
— Is there any information on Vince Hunter's condition?
— I don't know how many days he's going to be out, still, he's not super important injured, but he needs a little bit of time, so it's a question if he's going to play in Krasnoyarsk.
— How would you rate Egor Ryzhov's performance today?
— Yeah, he's one player that from the beginning is always with us and sometimes he's going to the second team to play some minutes and to keep the shape. He's ready and he helped us a lot today. We are happy with him and we push him to continue in this direction.
— Zenit won 10 games in a row before Astana and they lost so many games in a row. Were you relaxed a little bit because of that? And now do you feel more confident when you have 11 games in a row?
— About victories. To have victories in a row is always something that gives us confidence and shows us that the way that we are practicing, the way that we are playing is the right way. And about Astana, we have respect for them. The team did what they have to do. It's not a matter to win by 50, to win by 45, or to win by 60. Here we are not going to win the league against Astana, winning for more points or less points. We play serious, we respect them, we prepare the game, nothing else. And I hope they will have the opportunity to win some games.
— If we compare five players that ended the game today, can we compare their level to the five players that started the game with CSKA? How much do they have to practice, these five players to play as well as the starting five of the game with CSKA?
— Every player is different. Every player has different characteristics, different qualities, and this is why we are one team. And in this team, everybody has their roles, everybody has their positions, everybody has their opportunities, and we win all together and we lose all together. We are all on the same page. The one that plays 30 minutes or the one that plays zero minutes.
— Igor Volkhin did not score a point today, but he was very helpful today. And he usually plays for the second team. Can you evaluate his performance today and what is his role in the team now?
— Igor sometimes is going to the second team to play because he needs rhythm of the competition and he's going there to have the rhythm and to help the second team. He has a lot of competence in his position and he's one kid that always is practicing well, working hard and waiting his opportunities and today we put him to play, it was probably not easy because he didn't play too much in the last game, so we understand everything. And just to push him to be ready for the next time.
