Xavier Moon is the November MVP in the VTB United League

Zenit guard Xavier Moon has been named the MVP of November in the VTB United League. This is the first individual award for the American basketball player in Russia.

In November, the blue-whites won all 6 regular season matches. The month began with a hard-fought road victory over Lokomotiv Kuban, followed by a dominant home win against Enisey, after which Zenit beat Avtodor, MBA MAI, PARMA and Pari Nizhny Novgorod in away games.

On average in November, Moon recorded 13.7 points, 4 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 0.5 blocks per match, with an efficiency rating of 16.5.

Additionally, Xavier was named to the Team of the Week twice during the month. The Zenit guard shared his emotions about receiving the award and discussed his motivation for the season:

Obviously, it's a great honor. There's a lot of great players in the league. I just got to thank my teammates, my coaching staff, for allowing me to play my game. We've been on a nine-game winning streak, so we're just trying to keep it going. I'm not really playing for individual accolades. I'm playing for the championship at the end of the year, but I'm honored and grateful. Hopefully, a lot more to come in the future.
