Georgy Zhbanov "I hope there will be more training sessions like this"
— Georgy, the season is practically underway. Today the team was presented to the fans and you tried out a new open training format. How did it feel?
— It was great! This was my first open training session with fans. At first, it was hard to stay focused, but after a while, we zoned out and just trained, doing our job. I hope we gave the fans some emotions and showed them a bit of how we prepare for games. It was a great experience. I hope we’ll have more of these training sessions.
— So did you feel a bit tense?
— Not tense, just that it felt unusual since it was my first time. Yes, we couldn’t quite relax at the beginning, but overall, it was fine. Things went as they should after that.
— Today, our club presented the new season concept — "Team Chemistry". What do you think needs to be done to achieve this team chemistry and make it work throughout the season?
— The video explained and showed everything we need to do. So we’ll follow what was shown on the screen, and hopefully, we’ll achieve it.
— So, you'll be spreading the reagents?
— Yes, I’ll be spreading the reagents and protecting all of us (laughs).
— How do you feel? Did you discuss the incident with Omari Spellman?
— My head still aches, to be honest, and hasn’t fully recovered yet. It’s even hard to string thoughts together. I hope I’ll be better soon and ready for the first game.
— Since you mentioned the first game, would you like to invite the fans to it?
— Of course! Dear fans, we invite you to our first game on September 21 against MBA-MAI. We’ll be waiting for everyone on the court at the CSC Arena. See you soon!
