Igor Volkhin: "Any meeting with the fans brings only positive emotions"
— Igor, today the team had its traditional presentation, and for the first time, we tried a new open training format. How would you evaluate this experiment?
— In general, any meeting with the fans, whether at the beginning or end of the season, brings only positive emotions. At the open training session, I think everyone tried harder so as not to let the fans down. I believe everyone really enjoyed this format.
— Overall, did you feel constrained in any way today? After all, this was the first time the training was open to everyone.
— There was no real sense of constraint because we always play in front of our fans and large crowds. It’s something we’re used to, but there was still a certain novelty to it. It was an unusual training session.
— Today, Zenit presented its season concept — "Team сhemistry". Do you think we’ll be able to achieve this chemistry throughout the season?
— I think so. We’re all working on it, from the office staff to the doctors. It's all part of a meticulous process. I believe that in the end, we’ll find common ground and everything will work out for us.
— Speaking of the season video concept, do you think the roles of power and small forwards were portrayed correctly?
— I think everything was portrayed accurately, and even with a bit of humor. I really liked it.
