Alex Poythress, Zenit’s center:
— Alex, how сan you compare first game against Erokspor with the second one?
— We knew they would come in ready to fight. Playing one team twice is always tough. So we had good production from Sasha, Vince had a great game, Denis played well and also Zhora.
— What happened during the game today? Sometimes it was too emotional on the court.
— I mean this is basketball. It is always emotional. We did good job as a team. You don’t want to play basketball without emotions, but you always try to control it better.
— What is your impression of the pre-season training camp in Turkey?
— Everything is good. Working hard as a team. We are getting better step by step, day by day.
— How is the preparation for the season going in general?
— It’s going good like I said we are taking it step by step day by day. Trying to get better each and every day.
The team continues to prepare for the season at their training base in Turkey and will return to Saint Petersburg on September 2. On September 5 and 6, Zenit will participate in the Vladimir Kondrashin and Alexander Belov Cup, which will be held at the СSС Arena. Tickets and mini-passes can be purchased at tickets.bc-zenit.com.
