Sergey Karasev: "I rested, recovered, and I'm already full of energy"
— Tell us, please, how was your summer?
— The summer was great. I rested, recovered, and I'm already full of energy. Ready for the new season. Now we are just undergoing medical examination and we are already starting together with the team.
— Did you manage to train individually on holiday?
— Yes, I did. And now we go to the academy with the guys, there are training sessions on request. Well, plus I recharged with my family, sun, sea, energy.
— Was there anything interesting or routine during the medical examination? Maybe something surprised the doctors?
— No, so far everything is the same. I didn't want to let the cameramen film me on the treadmill. The doctors laughed.
— Vince Hunter was tired after a very difficult flight and came to the UMO straight from the airport. Did you get a chance to catch up with him?
— Yeah, we had a little chat, it's great to see him. But it was his own fault, he should have arrived earlier.
— Zenit will be 10 years old very soon. The basketball club will celebrate the first round date, the first anniversary. What would you like to say to the fans and citizens of St. Petersburg?
— I would like to congratulate everyone on this date. It's a beautiful number. I played under it in America (laughs). In this difficult time I would wish the most important thing: health, more victories for Zenit and achievement of the highest goals.
— Zenit added such a serious player as Andrey Vorontsevich to the roster. Did you have a chat about him? How do you see his role? And are you happy about the arrival of such a skilful player?
— We talked, of course. Now we train together. The only thing is that now there will be a lot of talking in the locker room, but it's not bad from the other side. This is a very good signing both in terms of team goals and experience. The man has a huge baggage of European championships, Euroleague, World Cup behind him. A player with tremendous experience, and I think he will help our team a lot.
