Zenit-2 will take part in the Russian Cup

July 25, 2024
In the 2024/25 season, Zenit-2 will represent our club in the traditional Russian Cup draw.

Overall, 37 participants will play in the competition, 16 of them will start their performance from the group stage. Among them are representatives of the Higher League, youth teams of VTB United League clubs and two amateur teams.

The Petersburgers will begin their performance from the stage of the 1/16 finals, where they will meet with CSKA-2 Moscow. This follows from the draw, the results of which were published by the Russian Basketball Federation.

The series will consist of two games, which will be held on October 23 and November 6. In addition to Zenit-2 and CSKA-2, the following pairs will play at this stage: Irkut — ORSS Lokomotiv Kuban; Kupol Rodniki — Chelbasket; Novosibirsk — the winner of the match Dynamo — Rusichi; Temp-SUMZ — Universitet Yugra; Dynamo — BARS-RGEU; Barnaul — Tambov and Khimki — the winner of the match between Metallurg and the winner of the Tarakanov Cup.

In the 1/8 finals (December 4 and 25), the winners of the previous round will face each other. And in the 1/4 finals (January 8 and 22), four VTB United League clubs will join the fight — Uralmash, MBA-MAI, Pari Nizhny Novgorod and Parma.

The winners of the quarterfinal series will advance to the Final Four, which will be held on March 14-16, 2025.
