Andrey Vorontsevich: "We’re improving from game to game — we’re waiting for everyone at the match against PARMA"

October 28, 2025

Zenit forward Andrey Vorontsevich talks about the upcoming game against the team from Perm. The match against BETCITY PARMA will take place tomorrow, October 29, at the CSC Arena. The game starts at 19:30, and tickets are available on the club’s website.

— Andrey, tell us how the preparation for the game against BETCITY PARMA went.

— The preparation went great. We analyzed the opponent’s strengths and weaknesses, paid attention to their key players. They’re a good team that plays quality basketball. They have a well-balanced roster and are performing very well this season.

— They’ve had several notable wins — beating CSKA and Lokomotiv Kuban. How do they manage to achieve such results?

— With the support they have in Perm, at Molot, it’s clear why they’re able to win. They also have an excellent coach and great players. So they’re showing solid results. Of course, they can surprise you if you let them get into their rhythm and play their brand of basketball. That’s why we first and foremost need to rely on our defense.

— What would you say is their strongest side?

— Their teamwork and strong individual performances. As I said, if you let them play their basketball, it’s very hard to go up against them.

— Has Zenit become stronger after recent games, which included both wins and losses against the League’s top teams?

— Definitely. We’re improving from game to game — in understanding each other and in executing the coach’s systems. Every win, and even every loss, gives us more motivation and a better sense of mutual support. It’s always much more enjoyable to play at home, in front of our fans. So we’re waiting for everyone — come support Zenit!
