Farm team awaits home game in Super League semifinals
The Fonbet Super League semifinal series between Zenit-2 and Temp-SUMZ is heading to Saint Petersburg. After two games in Revda, the series stands at 0:2 in favor of the Urals team. Oliver Popovic’s squad now has no room for error.
The blue-whites played two completely different away games. The first game in Revda didn’t go well: the Saint Petersburg team committed a large number of unforced turnovers and showed a low shooting percentage. A series of obvious mistakes and the pressure of the semifinal opener prevented Zenit-2 from competing for the win.
The second game followed a completely different script. The match was full of ups and downs, with the lead changing hands nearly every quarter. Everything came down to a few key shots at the end: the hosts made theirs, while Zenit’s three-point attempts didn’t fall.

Zenit-2 head coach Oliver Popovic shared his thoughts ahead of the home game:
It’s 0:2, and we could’ve won the second game. If we want to extend the series and take it back to Revda, we have to win both home games. I hope we have the strength and knowledge to do it. I invite the fans to come and support the team.
A decisive game lies ahead for the blue-whites — it will take place on April 22 at 18:00 at the Basketball Academy (Severnaya Road, 12). A victory will allow Zenit-2 to extend the series to at least a fourth game — scheduled for April 24, also in the Northern Capital. Admission is free.
