Ike Iroegbu joins Zenit!
Ike Iroegbu was born on March 14, 1995, in Sacramento, California (USA). He played college basketball at Washington State University from 2013 to 2017. After declaring for the NBA Draft, Iroegbu began his professional career in the Los Angeles Clippers organization, playing for the Agua Caliente Clippers in the NBA G League.
The guard then went on to build a successful career in Europe, representing clubs in Germany, Lithuania, France, Israel, Italy, and Spain. He enjoyed particularly productive spells with Treviso in Italy and Girona in Spain, establishing himself as one of the top-scoring point guards in their respective domestic leagues.
Last season, the guard began with Valencia, where he won the Spanish Supercup and made his EuroLeague debut. In October, the point guard moved to Pallacanestro Varese, appearing in 25 Italian League games and averaging 16.5 points, 5.1 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game.
At the international level, Iroegbu represents the Nigerian national team. He won a silver medal at the 2017 FIBA AfroBasket, was named to the tournament's All-Tournament Team, and also represented Nigeria at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
