Andrey Vorontsevich stays in St. Petersburg!
Zenit and Andrey Vorontsevich have exercised the contract extension option included in the forward's agreement. The new deal will keep him at the club through the end of the 2026/27 season.
Vorontsevich joined the Blue-White-Sky Blues in the summer of 2024 and, over the past two seasons, has firmly established himself as one of the team's most experienced and influential players. With Zenit, the forward has won silver medals in both the VTB United League and the Russian Championship, claimed bronze and silver medals in the Supercup, and lifted the Kondrashin and Belov Cup twice.
During the 2025/26 season, Vorontsevich appeared in 68 official games and became a member of the prestigious Club 100, having now made 131 appearances for the Blue-White-Sky Blues. His VTB United League averages were 5.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 0.6 steals per game. In eight WINLINE Basket Cup games, he averaged 5.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists, and 0.6 steals per game.
