Sergey Karasev: "I know the opponent's coach firsthand"
Zenit captain Sergey Karasev shared his thoughts ahead of the away game against MBA-MAI, which will take place tomorrow, April 3. The match starts at 19:00 St. Petersburg time.
— Have you managed to recover not only physically but also mentally after the game against CSKA?
— Yes, for the most part. We had a day off. At first, there was a wave of emotions and joy. Then came a feeling of emptiness — that always happens. Now we’re back in training and preparing specifically for MBA and today’s trip.
— What do you see as MBA-MAI’s main strength?
— They’re a young team that plays fast basketball, aggressive defense and takes a lot of three-pointers. Sometimes their movement seems chaotic, but it gets results. I know their coach firsthand, so I have a good idea of what to expect from them.
— How special is this matchup for you, given your connection with the opponent's coach?
— Well, it’s always nice to see him, and my mom will definitely come to the game. So, it’s always interesting to play against them.
