Trent Frazier: "We were playing catch up the whole time"
Zenit’s guard Trent Frazier shared his opinion about the game against UNICS (76:79) and noted the key moments that didn't work out in today's match. In the last game against Kazan, the player scored 17 points and made 9 assists.
— I think we didn't do a good enough job controlling the game. I thought we played behind the entire game, besides the first quarter, just playing at the level of them. After that, I think we just played behind way too much. And we were playing catch up the whole time. Like Coach said, after the game, our turnover, especially with me, I got to do a better job. Not turn the ball over in the fourth quarter when it's crunch time. Coach put the ball in my hands, and I turned the ball over too many times in that fourth quarter. I got to do a better job of just controlling the tempo, controlling the game to put our guys in the right position to get a shot up every time and have an opportunity to win the game.
I thought we fought hard the last two minutes, fighting back in, grinding. But ultimately, just us playing behind way too much, we didn't end up winning the game. So we just got to do a better job in the last game of the year and preparing for that.
