Xavi Pascual "We stopped to make mistakes and to give presents in our defense"

Zenit head coach Xavi Pascual shared his opinion about the victory over MBA-MAI (68:89) in the match of the 14th round of the regular season of the VTB United League.

— First of all, I want to congratulate MBA-MAI for their game, and also to wish all the best to the coaches and all the players. I think it's one team that all of us we like very much and they deserve to be better than now the standings show. But it's a long way to go, so I wish them all the best. 

It's one game that we knew that any moment that we are not going to be in the right concentration, MBA will be there. Despite the fact that we opened the game correctly and that we had the first advantage, good advantage, they come back after some turnovers, after some moments that we lost the concentration. But ok, the game is 40 minutes and finally we found a way, we scored some important basket. We stopped to make mistakes and to give presents in our defense. We controlled a little bit more the rebound and finally we took this advantage until the end.
