The youth team will face Uralmash-2 at home

October 20, 2024
Roman Knyazev's team concludes their home series of eight games with a two-match clash against the Ural team. On the contrary, Uralmash has been playing exclusively away games so far.

Uralmash started the season with a trip to Moscow, where they suffered two heavy defeats to MBA-MAI-Junior. However, they managed to bounce back in the next round in Krasnoyarsk. The Ural team was stronger than the local Enisey-2 in both the first game (74:61) and the second (84:63). This week, the team visited CSKA-Junior and, although they did not win, they certainly showed character, almost completing a comeback in one of the games.

The best players for the visiting team at the start of the season are Artem Fomin, averaging 10.3 points per game, Bogdan Polishchuk with 8.2 rebounds, and Matvey Reshetov with 8.7 assists.

In the VTB United Youth League, the blue-whites team has faced Uralmash four times and won all their head-to-head matches.

The games will take place on October 21 and 22 at the Basketball Academy (Severnaya Road, 12). Both matches will start at 14:00 St. Petersburg time. Entry for all fans is free. The broadcast will be available on the VTB United Youth League website.
