Xavier Moon: “I know what to expect, I played overseas already”
Zenit newcomer Xavier Moon shared his expectations of playing in a new championship, and also clarified how best to pronounce his name. Read more in our interview.
— I’ve been working out, getting ready for this. Enjoyed my family a little bit at home. I was working trying to get ready for the new opportunity.
— Fans will ask how to pronounce your first name for sure. How should we pronounce your name?
— If they don’t know how to pronounce they can just call me X. But the correct pronouncation is Xavier, starting with letter X.
— Zenit turned 10 years on Sunday. What would you like to say to the fans?
— I’ve heard a lot of great things about the city and the team as well. Just looking forward to get work. Ready for this new opportunity like I said. Hopefully we can bring some specialties to this city and to this league.
— We know you played in different leagues, what are your expectations of the Russian championship and the VTB League?
— Just want to bring what a brought to any other league. I know what to expect, I played overseas already. I’m not new to it. Just looking forward to this opportunity.
— There a few new faces in Zenit, some players just arrived. Have you ever met someone from this team?
— I know a couple players from this team. Not personally, but heard of them. Looking forward get to work with them.
