Happy Anniversary! Zenit Turns 10!

Ten years ago — on 18 August 2014 — Zenit Basketball Club was founded. In its early days, it was a separate department within the structure of CJSC Zenit FC, but over time it became a legal entity known as LTD Zenit Basketball Club.

The football club's centennial anniversary is approaching, while the basketball club celebrates its first major date.

In its ten-year history, Zenit has managed to win the championship title in the VTB United League and the Russian сhampionship, claim the Russian Cup, become a two-time winner of the Supercup, win the revived Vladimir Kondrashin and Alexander Belov Cup three times, establish its own Basketball Academy, debut in the EuroLeague, and reach the playoffs of the continent's strongest tournament. But the greatest achievement is the fact that Zenit has gained the true love of fans and supporters and secured the fierce backing of the people of St. Petersburg.

The upcoming season is special for Zenit. In this anniversary year, all sports enthusiasts, not only in our city but beyond, will be closely watching the performances of blue-whites. As always, the team will strive to delight fans with beautiful, selfless play and give their all to win every match.

In the new season, we will launch the “Day in history” project, where we will reminisce about Zenit’s significant achievements and share interesting facts. We are confident that together with you, we will write many more exciting chapters in the club's history.
