Taras Barabash is the new press officer of Zenit
Taras graduated from Gymnasium #24 named after Ivan Krylov located on Vasilyevsky Island, later studying at the Faculty of Journalism at St. Petersburg State University. Then he graduated from the Institute of Television and Design, where he combined his studies with teaching.
Since 2005, he has been a correspondent for the newspaper Sport Week-End.
In 2010, Barabash became a correspondent for the news agency RIA. His experience includes working at the 2012 London Olympics, preparing news content as part of the host agency at the Sochi Olympics. In 2012, he interned at the AAP agency in Australia.
Following the Sochi Games, Taras was awarded by the Minister of Sports for his significant contribution to the development of physical culture and sports in the Russian Federation.
Barabash also worked as a correspondent at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil and Russia. Additionally, he gained invaluable experience working on foreign assignments, mainly covering games of the Zenit Football Club.
From 2020 to 2021, Taras was the host of the hockey show on Channel 78 in St. Petersburg.
From 2023 to 2024, he was sports news editor at Match TV
