The Blue-White-Sky Blues continue their series of events as part of the project Born for Zenit, which aims to promote sports and basketball among children.
On May 28, a master class was held at kindergarten №89 in the Frunzensky district of St. Petersburg, led by Artem Banchikov, Zenit U21 assistant head coach. The young participants enthusiastically joined in the basketball activities, performed exercises, and eagerly interacted with the coach. As always, an essential part of the meeting was the warm-up together with Zenit's mascot Lev Treshkin.
After the event Artem Banchikov, for whom this was not the first master class at preschool institutions, shared his impressions:
I always visit such events with joy and enthusiasm. It is truly valuable to see the sparkle in the children's eyes and feel their sincere, genuine joy. Judging by the feedback from educators and parents, such events have only a positive effect. I hope that more and more children will fall in love with basketball and cheer for our club.
The emotions that the master class left on the children and teachers were described by Olesya Danilova, senior educator at kindergarten №89:
We express our sincere gratitude to the basketball club Zenit for organizing a master class for the pupils of our kindergarten. The event was conducted at a high professional level, the program matched the age characteristics of the children, and the coach demonstrated excellent teaching skills and the ability to work with preschoolers. During the session, the children learned the basics of basketball, developed their physical abilities, and learned to work as a team. The kids were delighted, as active games are always popular with this age group! Thank you very much for the wonderful emotions and for introducing the children to basketball!
