Ilya Krivykh: "All thoughts are about the playoffs"

Zenit Basketball Academy center Ilya Krivykh was named to the symbolic five of the VTB United Youth League in April.

After the Blue-White-Sky Blues farm team finished its performance in the FONBET Super League, the big man joined the youth squad and took part in three of four winning regular-season games in April — against Samara-2 and Avtodor-2. On average, Krivykh recorded 12.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game, with an efficiency rating of 18.0.

In an interview with the club’s media team, Ilya shared his emotions about being selected to the symbolic five and, of course, his expectations ahead of the decisive part of the season:

First of all, I want to thank the team and the coach for their trust. I’m very happy to be included in the symbolic five. As it seems to me, I was able to integrate into the team quickly because I’ve known the guys for a long time and we understand each other well. There is just over a week left before the start of the playoffs and the game against MINSK-M — all my thoughts are focused on that. We have to win and prepare for the Final Four.
