Georgy Zhbanov: "We couldn’t show everything we worked on"
— The game was close for three quarters. In the fourth, we couldn’t score for five minutes. I think that was the turning point. We had too many turnovers throughout the game and deserved to lose.
— Georgy, you mentioned turnovers — there were 18 today. What caused that?
— Loko’s aggressive defense. We expected it and prepared for it, but for some reason we couldn’t execute what we practiced. We’ll go over the video tomorrow and break it down.
— It seemed like Zenit didn’t have major issues for most of the game, but offensively things fell apart in the last five or six minutes. What happened there?
— If we knew, it probably wouldn’t have happened. There are days when the shots just don’t fall, everything feels off, and you go through a stretch like that. Hopefully, it’s just a one-time thing.
