Zenit U21 defeated NN-Meshchersky in both away games
Zenit U21 earned two victories over Nizhny Novgorod-Meshchersky during an away series of the VTB United Youth League regular season. The games took place on February 17 and 18 at the Meshchersky Sports Complex. The first game ended 69:80, and the second 64:86.

In both matchups, Alexander Porotnikov was the top scorer for the Blue-White-Sky Blues, recording 20 points in the first game and 23 in the second. It is also worth noting that in the second game, Zenit U21 forward Timur Ivanov scored 22 points, setting a new career high in the VTB Youth League.
After the road trip to Nizhny Novgorod, Roman Knyazev’s team sits in second place in the standings with 34 wins in 38 games.

Overall, we accomplished our task. After yesterday’s game, we worked on correcting our mistakes, so today we played at a higher level and built a solid lead at the end of the third quarter. Thanks to the team effort and the coach’s trust, I was able to set a new career high.
On February 21 at 14:00 and February 22 at 13:00, the Blue-White-Sky Blues will play away against UNICS-2 Kazan. Both games will be streamed on the league’s website and on VK Video.
