Zenit-2 will face Barnaul in FONBET Super League road game
The Blue-White-Sky Blues farm team continues its preparations for the away game against Barnaul, which will take place as part of Round 19 of the FONBET Super League regular season. The match will be held tomorrow, February 12, at Pobeda sports complex. Tip-off is scheduled for 15:00 St. Petersburg time.
The opposing team currently sits at the bottom of the standings and has already lost any chance of making the playoffs. Barnaul has recorded three wins this season, the most recent coming on December 4 in a home game against Novosibirsk (76:71). To some extent, the Barnaul side has been unlucky: Alexander Gerasimov’s squad has repeatedly challenged the league leaders but ended up falling short in crunch time.
The head-to-head history between Zenit-2 and Barnaul includes seven games: four wins for the Blue-White-Sky Blues and three for Barnaul. The first-round regular season meeting in St. Petersburg ended in a hard-fought 92:88 victory for Zenit-2.

Zenit-2 guard Dmitry Chikishev shared his thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s matchup:
After the tough game in Novosibirsk, we were able to fully recover and prepare for the next contest. Barnaul is a fairly young and fast-paced team, so defensively we will try to prevent them from running in transition, while on offense we will look to impose our up-tempo style of basketball.
The game will be streamed live on the Russian Basketball Federation’s official website.
