Preview for Zenit-2 home game vs Ufa Dynamo
Tomorrow, February 3, Zenit’s farm team will host Ufa Dynamo at their home court. Tip-off is set for 19:00, and the game will be played as part of Round 17 of the FONBET Super League regular season. We invite all fans to the Basketball Academy (Severnaya Road, 12) to support the Blue-White-Sky Blues in a matchup against one of the league’s leaders.
Dynamo approach the upcoming game riding a six-game unbeaten streak and currently sit fourth in the standings. Zenit-2, meanwhile, have been unable to secure back-to-back wins in the Super League for several months, alternating strong performances with less successful ones. Having played two fewer games than the team from Ufa, Oliver Popović’s side is in ninth place with a record of eight wins and eight losses.
The visitors’ undisputed leader in both scoring and ball movement is Andrey Toptunov. Averaging 28 minutes per game, the 23-year-old point guard puts up 15.3 points per game (second-best in the League) and dishes out 2.9 assists.
Dynamo’s work on the boards is anchored by newcomer Oleg Akramov (7.0 rebounds), who joined the team in winter from Uralmash, and Semen Medvedev (6.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks), who leads the FONBET Super League in blocked shots.
Tomorrow’s game will be only the second head-to-head meeting in the history of this matchup. The first-round game in Ufa ended in a heartbreaking late loss for the Blue-White-Sky Blues, 75:77.

Zenit-2 guard Ilyas Abdul shared his expectations ahead of the game:
The opponent is one of the strongest teams in the Super League. They’re on a winning streak and are among the top four. It’s going to be a very tough, demanding game. From the previous matchup, it’s clear that Dynamo play at a high level for all 40 minutes, and even though we were leading at times, they eventually managed to push through. So we can’t relax — we need to stay fully focused until the end. Of course, our home crowd and the fans’ support will help us. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at the game!
The live broadcast of the match will be available on the website of the Russian Basketball Federation.
