Zenit children's youth teams will play in the second round of the Russian U19 Championship preliminary round
From December 13 to 20, the next matches of the Children's Youth Basketball League will take place, where the Blue-White-Sky Blues will be represented by three teams at once.
Zenit-2009, led by Vladislav Shumkov, will compete in Group A1. The matches will be held from December 13-18 in St. Petersburg at the Kupchinsky Olimp. This time, Zenit's opponents will be Kazan's UNICS-CYBL, Chelyabinsk's CBK-2, Magnitogorsk's Metallurg, as well as Samara-SHOR №1 and UOR 3 — Khimki.
During the same dates, Zenit-2010, led by Vadim Dodeus, will participate in the games of Group G1 in Nizhny Tagil at the SS Stary Sobol base. In their round, the Blue-White-Sky Blues will face Yekaterinburg's Uralmash CYBL, Kazan's SS UNICS-UNIOR, Tula's SS TSIVS, Primorye's Dynamo, and the team YUKIOR-YUGRABASKET from the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.
The last to begin their performance in the second round of the preliminary round will be the current CYBL champion — Zenit U19. The team of Dmitry Nikolaev landed in Group B1, with matches scheduled for December 15-20 at the FOK Meshchersky in Nizhny Novgorod. The opponents for the Blue-White-Sky Blues will be Moscow's CYBL, Krasnodar's SSOR Lokomotiv Kuban-CYBL, Perm's PARMA-CUBL, Moscow's SSOR CSKA, as well as the home court hosts Nizhny Novgorod — FOK Meshchersky.
