The youth team will play two matches in Krasnoyarsk

This weekend, Zenit U21 will play away against Krasnoyarsk’s Enisey-2. The VTB United Youth League games will take place on November 22 at 7:00 and November 23 at 8:00 Saint Petersburg time.

The Blue-White-Sky Blues head into the matchup in Krasnoyarsk sitting in 2nd place in the standings. Roman Knyazev’s team has won 13 games in a row and is currently trailing only Moscow’s MBA-MAI-Junior, which has a better point differential. Krasnoyarsk, meanwhile, is in last place, having not won a single game in 16 matches.

In the history of head-to-head meetings between Zenit U21 and Enisey-2, the Saint Petersburg team holds a confident lead — the overall record is 40–4.

Zenit U21 guard Dmitry Filippov spoke about the team’s condition going into the games in Krasnoyarsk and shared his expectations for the tour:

After the games against CSKA, we added several fresh players, so we are fully prepared for the matches with Enisey. We can’t underestimate the opponent, so despite their current position in the standings, we are ready to show quality basketball and accomplish our objectives.
