Zenit-2 will face Kupol Rodniki away

November 19, 2025

Tomorrow, November 20, the Blue-White-Sky Blues farm team will play Izhevsk’s Kupol Rodniki on the road. The match will take place as part of the 9th round of the FONBET Super League regular season.

The Izhevsk team is currently in 12th place in the standings, with 3 wins and 5 losses. In the last round of the regular season, Sergey Chernov’s team lost at home to Grozny’s Dynamo — 77:89. Before that, Izhevsk defeated Novosibirsk 81:74 at home in the first leg of the Gazprombank Russian Cup Round of 16.

The most productive player for Kupol at the start of the season is guard Grigory Tuchkov, who averages 17.3 points per Super League game.

The history of matchups between our teams includes 12 games: Izhevsk has 8 wins, while Saint Petersburg has 4.

Zenit-2 assistant coach Andrey Semenov shared his thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s game:

The team is in good shape. We managed to beat a pretty formidable opponent on their home court. That’s always appreciated, so we’re approaching the game against Kupol in a good, optimistic mood. We have a practice session tonight. We’ll prepare for the match in more detail, go over our plays, and talk a bit about our mistakes. What to expect from the opponent? Unlike Temp, Kupol is quite a young team. They run more on offense, pushing the fast break. They have very good young players — Tuchkov and Tsekhanovich, who play at the one and five positions. So if we manage to stop those two guys, it will be much easier for us to play. But two young teams will battle each other. It will surely be fast, dynamic, and high-scoring basketball.

The game will start at 18:00 St. Petersburg time. The broadcast will be available on the Russian Basketball Federation website.
