"We prepared for a battle, for tough defense from them": Popovic and Chikishev after the win against Temp-SUMZ

Zenit-2 head coach Oliver Popovic shared his emotions after the away victory over Temp-SUMZ (81:85). The game was part of the 8th round of the FONBET Super League regular season.

— We defeated a team that, in my opinion, is one of the best in the Super League. They kept most of their players from last season. It’s a good, experienced team, much more experienced than we are. But today, except for the first 6-7 minutes, when we made too many turnovers, everything went pretty well for us. At the end, we made a few tough shots. Zenit-2 gave a good response today, and I think the fans enjoyed it. I want to wish Revda good luck going forward. Now we’re preparing for Izhevsk.

Blue-White-Sky Blues guard Dmitry Chikishev also commented on the match against the Urals team.

— The game was tough. We knew the opponent plays aggressively — they were champions last season, after all. We prepared for a battle, for tough defense from them. They play rough, sometimes dirty.
