Aleksander Sekulic: "We approach this competition"

Zenit head coach Aleksander Sekulic shared his impressions of the away victory over Uralmash (63:92) in the first game of the WINLINE Basket Cup group stage.

— We are happy with the way we played the whole game, maybe start wasn’t the best but when we found our way. We look good, we played against good team who already surprised Loko in an away game in VTB League. So we approach this game in a very serious way. And of course this competition has an amazing organization of the game and the host made a great job. I mean, we felt really comfortable here. And also the organization of the game, this cup, we like it. Cup is very well organized. Therefore, our duty is to play in the best possible way, which we did and presented this on the court in front of the very loud spectators.

— How different would be the aims of this Cup versus the VTB regular championship?

— No difference. The difference is in the name of the competition. There are two new teams. One is in our group. We approach this, like I said in my statement, we feel that this is a really high-level competition and it's our duty to play that way.
