Zenit held team presentation
Today, September 29, the main team of Zenit was presented at the CSC Arena. The event included an open training session and the premiere of the new season’s concept.

Before the training began, St. Petersburg’s head coach Aleksander Sekulic greeted the fans and thanked them for their support. During the open part of the practice, players worked on shots, after which they split into teams and held a five-on-five competition.

The training concluded with a fan contest. In free throws, fans could compete alongside Alex Poythress, Levi Randolph and Dmitry Uzinskiy, while in long-distance shots, they faced Trent Frazier, Alexander Shcherbenev and Andrey Vorontsevich.

The show program began with a new performance by the Zenit Show cheerleading group. This was followed by a press conference with head coach Aleksander Sekulic, team captain Sergey Karasev and club management. The opening remarks were made by The Chairman of the Board Zenit BC Alexander Medvedev:
Of course, the main goal is for the season to end with what we all strive for. In addition to the Russian Championship, this year there will be a new and interesting tournament with two foreign clubs. This means even more exciting matches await us.

After a series of questions from the media and fans, the concept of the season — Zenit OS 12.0 — was presented in the home arena bowl of the Blue-White-Sky Blues team. This is not just a new chapter in the club’s history, it’s a system. The seasonal concept is designed as a basketball operating system in which every element of the club — from players to fans — becomes part of a large digital organism.
Players are presented as system modules (with extensions .grd, .frd, .ctr), each game is a process, a victory is a successful update, and a defeat is a temporary failure followed by a reboot. Opponents are visualized as malicious programs, and only with the support of fans (file fans.support) can the system neutralize the threat.

Fans were also shown a season video, the official online premiere of which will take place tomorrow evening on all Zenit social media platforms.
The event concluded with the traditional presentation of team jerseys to the players, followed by a group photo with the fans. In the arena’s foyer, an autograph session was held where everyone had the opportunity to meet their favorite player and take photos as a keepsake.

Very soon, Zenit will play its first match of the new VTB United League season. On October 1, Aleksander Sekulic’s team will host Saratov’s Avtodor on the home court. The game starts at 19:30 St. Petersburg time. Tickets are available on the club’s official website.
