Zenit vs Uralmash. Preview

April 6, 2026
The Blue-White-Sky Blues is finally returning to their home court. Behind Dejan Radonjić’s team are three away games — and all three were victories. Tomorrow, just a day after their previous match, Zenit will face Uralmash.

Opponent

Zenit will play against Uralmash — for the sixth time this season. In the Cup, the teams exchanged away wins, but in the VTB League, the Blue-White-Sky Blues still hold the upper hand — all three regular-season games were won by the St. Petersburg squad.

The second half of March was tough for the Yekaterinburg team. Anton Yudin’s squad consecutively lost to BETCITY PARMA, MBA-MAI, and CSKA, and April started with a fourth defeat — this time to Nizhny. The upcoming trip to Kazan didn’t look promising for the team. However, to everyone’s surprise, Uralmash defeated an injury-hit UNICS on the road, 82:74.

Now, riding the wave of their victory, the Ural team is heading to St. Petersburg. The decisive part of the regular season is ahead, and the visitors still have a good chance of finishing 6th in the standings.

Head-to-head

The overall history of matchups between Zenit and Uralmash in the VTB United League includes 14 games, 11 of which ended in victories for our team.

Direct speech

The Blue-White-Sky Blues head coach Dejan Radonjić shared his thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s game:

I think, so, this schedule for us will be a very tough game. For sure, they played a really great game against UNICS. Now they have confidence and we need to be very, very focused, ready to play with a lot of energy all 40 minutes. Defensively to follow the plan, offensively to read the game.

Who. Where. When.
