Zenit U21 will open regular season at home

September 8, 2025

The schedule for the 2025/26 VTB United Youth League regular season has been published. The first games for the Blue-White-Sky Blues youth team will take place on October 2-3 at the Basketball Academy court in St. Petersburg. Their opponent will be Krasnodar’s SSOR Lokomotiv Kuban.

The full Zenit U21 game calendar is available in a special section on the club’s website.

A total of 14 teams will compete in the regular season. In addition to the St. Petersburg side, the Youth League will feature: Avtodor-2 (Saratov), Enisey-2 (Krasnoyarsk Krai), SSOR Lokomotiv Kuban (Krasnodar), MBA-MAI Junior (Moscow), MINSK-M (Belarus), Nizhny Novgorod Meshchersky (Nizhny Novgorod), PARMA-M (Perm Krai), Samara-2 (Samara Region), UNICS-2 (Kazan), Uralmash-2 (Yekaterinburg), CSKA Junior (Moscow), STC Khimki-2 (Moscow Region), as well as the tournament debutant — Kazakhstan’s Astana-Zhastar. All teams will play each other in two matches at home and away.

The regular season will conclude on April 8, 2026, after which the top eight teams will battle for the championship in the playoffs, starting with best-of-three quarterfinal series. The first games will be hosted by the 5–8th seeded teams, while the second and, if necessary, third matches will be played on the courts of the clubs finishing in the Top-4. The winners of each series will then advance to the Final Four, where the 2025/26 VTB United Youth League champion will be determined.
