Zenit-2 lost to Dynamo Primorye in a friendly match

The farm team of the Blue-White-Sky Blues lost to Dynamo Primorye with a score of 46:66. The friendly game took place today, September 5, on the court of the Zenit Basketball Academy.

The Petersburg team continues its systematic preparation for the 2025/26 season. Ahead, the team has a series of friendly matches planned.

Zenit-2 captain Artem Khodorich summarized the recent match and shared his expectations for the preseason.

— We expected this kind of basketball from our opponent. We watched videos and highlights of the players from previous seasons. The defense was more or less okay today, but the offense didn’t click, which is why we only scored 46 points. It’s acceptable for the first game, but we could have played much better.

— What are the goals for the team during the preseason preparation phase?

— To progress and find interactions, because we have many new players compared to last season. We will just continue to prepare for the season.

— Now you are the captain of Zenit-2. Share your impressions of your new status in the team. Do you feel the weight of responsibility?

— Yes, there is some additional responsibility. But I was already a captain in the youth team two seasons ago. I am familiar with almost all the guys, so they all trust me. No one raised any objections when I was chosen as captain. I will just support the guys.
