Center Alex Poythress and guard Trent Frazier shared their thoughts on the victory in the final game of the camp.

— Congratulations on the win, Trent. It was important to win today after losing to Turk Telekom. How does it feel to beat Besiktas?

— It feels good. Obviously, our main goal is to win every game, preseason or not. I think our main goal during this preseason stretch is to control what we control, and that's playing hard and being tough. I thought everybody that played today gave outstanding minutes, coming off the bench, good energy, we played hard, we fought. That's a good basketball club, so I thought we did an amazing job just doing what you're supposed to do today: fighting hard and playing hard together and just being there for each other. And that's how we came up with the win. Obviously we're still learning. Of course new coaching staff, new team. So win or lose — our main thing is as long as we out there playing hard, that's our main focus we need to do right now and then we'll take care of the rest.

— You scored 14 points. Are you satisfied with your own performance tonight?

— I'm more satisfied on winning the game. Obviously like I said it's a whole new: new coaching staff, new team. For me I'm just trying to get familiarized and with the team, new guys on the team try to find my spots, find my rhythm. Playing with Emchenko it's good, he gives me a break off the ball and it helps me out a lot. It gives me opportunity to play one and two positions. Like I said our main goal right now is to figure each other out. I think we have a great relationship, we all have fun together. I think our main goal is just gonna be playing hard and being tough.

— Vince Hunter just came here to watch your game. Did he say to you anything and to the team?

— He is scared of me this year, that’s the thing. He knows it won’t be easy when we meet on the court. He’s nervous. I'm excited for my big bro, though. I'm happy for him. I can't wait to go up against him ultimate competitor. So I'm excited for his new team and his new journey.

— First of all, congratulations, Alex. How does it feel to be Zenit’s captain?

— Oh, it feels good. I've been here going into my fourth year, so St. Petersburg feels like home. So I'm just glad my teammates and my coach embraced me and honored me to be a captain.

— How important was it to win tonight after such a bad loss to Turk Telekom?

— It was very important. These preseason games, we're still trying to get a feel for each other. We're trying to get better. We're trying to get a flow. But in the day every time you step on the floor you want to win. So I'm glad we can learn lessons and win at the same time.

— Are you satisfied with your own performance — 16 points and you are the best in the effectiveness?

— It was okay game, but still we just we still got room so again prove as a team. So long as we keep going steps in the right directions, I think we'll be okay.

— And what did you say to Vince or he to you? Did you have some time to communicate?

— Yeah, I mean I've talked to Vince. I've talked to Vince throughout the summer already. It's not the first time seeing each other, you know, but Vince is my brother, he's always going to be my brother even though he's at Loko.

— But Trent just told us that Vince is scared of Zenit. Is it true, do you think so?

— No, then you got to ask Trent for that, I have no idea about that (laughing).
