Zenit and Artem Antipov extended agreement for 2 years
The Blue-White-Sky Blues have extended their contract with Zenit Basketball Academy pruduct and forward Artem Antipov. The renewed agreement with the 20-year-old Russian player is set for 2 years until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Artem, a native of St. Petersburg, has been part of the club’s development system since 2018, starting with the Children's Youth Basketball League team. With Zenit, the forward became a champion of the CYBL (U19) and twice won the VTB United Youth League (U21). In 2022, he made his debut in the Super League with Zenit-2, and in the 2023/24 season, he competed for bronze medals with the club’s farm team.
Antipov will undergo his first full preseason training camp with the main squad. Following the camp, a decision will be made on whether he will spend the upcoming season with Zenit or be loaned out to another team.
In the 2024/25 season, Artem was on loan to Pari Nizhny Novgorod. With the Volga club, he made his debut in the VTB United League, playing in 43 games. Averaging 18 minutes per game, Antipov recorded 5.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.5 steals, 0.4 assists and 0.3 blocks.
Additionally, he became a silver medalist in the Russian Cup with Nizhny Novgorod. The player took part in 4 games, averaging 4.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.0 blocks and 0.8 assists per match.
