Xavier Moon leaves Zenit
Following the expiration of his contract, guard Xavier Moon is leaving Saint Petersburg.
The American player joined Zenit’s main team in the summer of last year and was one of the key figures for the Blue-White-Sky Blues during the first half of the 2024/25 season. He was named VTB United League’s MVP of November and the best point guard at the Kondrashin and Belov Cup.
In January 2025, Xavier suffered a right knee injury and was forced to miss the rest of the season, following which Zenit secured silver medals in both the VTB United League and the Russian Championship, won the Kondrashin and Belov Cup, and claimed bronze in the Supercup.
Overall, Moon appeared in 24 regular season games, averaging 13.5 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 0.5 blocks per match.
Zenit greatly appreciates Xavier’s contribution and thanks him for a successful partnership!
