Zenit parts ways with Dwayne Bacon

After the expiration of the contract, Dwayne Bacon is leaving Zenit. The player will continue his career at another club.

The forward joined the Blue-White-Sky Blues in the summer of 2024 and quickly became a team leader. During the 2024/25 season, Bacon helped Zenit win the regular season championship, reach the VTB United League Finals, capture the Kondrashin and Belov Cup, and earn bronze medals in the Superсup.

Bacon was named the MVP of the VTB United League regular season. He was also recognized as the league’s Player of the Month for March, included in the symbolic five of the Superсup, and set a historic league record by becoming the top scorer in a single season with 1022 points. No player had previously surpassed the one thousand point mark during a league campaign.

In total, Bacon played 58 games in the recently concluded VTB United League season, averaging 17.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.7 steals in 27 minutes per match.
