Thank you, Manos!

Sports Director Manos Papadopoulos leaves Zenit Basketball Club at the end of his contract.

The Greek specialist joined Zenit in August 2020 and over five years made a significant contribution to the Club’s development. During this time, the Zenit’s main team achieved the most notable success in its history.

Together with Manos Papadopoulos Zenit became the VTB United League champion, won the VTB League Super Cup twice, claimed the Kondrashin and Belov Cup four times, and also secured the Russian Cup. In the EuroLeague, the team achieved its best-ever result during his very first season: in the spring of 2021, Zenit reached Game 5 of the quarterfinal series against Barcelona, coming just one step away from the Final Four — a huge leap from finishing last in the competition just a year earlier.
