Xavi Pascual reached his 300th official match as the head coach of Zenit
In total, Xavi has led the team in 214 VTB United League games, including four matchups against Zelena Gura and Kalev in the 2021/22 season, 65 games in the EuroLeague, 11 in the VTB Super Cup, and 10 in the Russian Cup. Under his guidance, Zenit has recorded 212 wins.
This season, Zenit — for only the second time in its history and once again under Pascual’s leadership — won the regular season of the VTB United League. In the playoffs, the team set a new league record with a 25-game winning streak. Following the regular season, Pascual was named the 2024/25 Coach of the Year.
Notably, Xavi Pascual holds the record for most games coached in Zenit history, surpassing Vasiliy Karasev (221 games) by 79. Additionally, the Spanish coach is now among the top three all-time in games coached in the VTB United League, closing in on Dimitrios Itoudis (263) and Zoran Lukic (268).
Congratulations to Xavi on this achievement and we continue to go to new victories together!
