Zenit farm team will play second match of Fonbet Super League bronze series
Zenit-2 continues preparations for the second game in the third-place series of the Fonbet Super League. The upcoming match against Khimki will also take place on the opponent’s court.
The main challenges faced by Oliver Popovic’s team in the opening game were related to rotation. Due to the VTB United Youth League Final Four, held on May 3–4 in Moscow, several players were involved in matches for the main Zenit youth team. Additionally, Pavel Zemskiy and Daniil Aksenov missed the game. As a result, the short bench didn’t allow the blue-whites to compete for the win.

Overall, however, Zenit-2 put up a decent performance. The St. Petersburg team was effective both from close range (44.4%) and from beyond the arc (30.4%), and they also grabbed 13 offensive rebounds.
The second game will take place tomorrow, May 5, at 19:00 St. Petersburg time. The broadcast will be available on the website of the Russian Basketball Federation.
