Zenit U19 preparing for the Final Four of the VTB United Youth League
Zenit U19 has once again reached the decisive stage of the VTB United Youth League and is preparing to defend its championship title. Alongside the blue-whites, CSKA-Junior, MBA-MAI-Junior, and Pari Nizhny Novgorod-Junior will also compete in the Final Four.
In the quarterfinals, Roman Knyazev’s team overcame PARMA-M with some difficulty. After losing the second game of the series, the Zenit players confidently secured victory in the decisive match with a score of 100:70, earning their place in the semifinals.

Ahead of the Final Four, the entire team took part in a flower-laying ceremony at the monument to the Heroes of Moscow’s Air Defense. The event was held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

In the semifinals, the St. Petersburg team will face Moscow’s CSKA-Junior — the same opponent they faced in last year’s final. This season, the teams split their head-to-head games: one win each in November in Moscow and in March in St. Petersburg. A highly anticipated match lies ahead, promising to be both tense and exciting.

Zenit U19 head coach Roman Knyazev ahead of the Final Four:
We have reached the main stage of the season. This is our chance to show what we’ve accomplished during this time. In games like these, it all comes down to individual skill and mental toughness. I’m confident our players will give everything they’ve got. I invite our fans to come out and support the team.
The game against CSKA-Junior will take place tomorrow, May 3, at 14:00 St. Petersburg time. The match will be held at the Basket Hall arena in Moscow. The second semifinal will feature the youth squads of Pari NN and MBA-MAI.
On the following day, May 4, the third-place match will begin at 14:00, and the final will take place at 17:00. All games will be broadcast live on the official website of the VTB United Youth League.
