Georgy Zhbanov: "PARMA came to play basketball, not to surrender"
Zenit guard Georgy Zbanov answered journalists' questions after the first game of the VTB United League quarterfinals. The home game against PARMA ended in a 102:68 victory for the blue-whites
— It seemed like the team needed some time to get into rhythm at the start of the game. What was the reason for that?
— Not really. PARMA came to play basketball too, not to surrender. They attacked our weak spots, and we couldn’t defend properly. During halftime, the coach made some adjustments, and everything worked out.
— There have been four games against PARMA over the course of the season. The last one was quite recent. Have you noticed any changes in their play?
— We try to surprise the opponent in every game, we change things up. But I’m not going to say exactly what. Yes, there have been changes and there will be more in every game.
