Zenit youth team will finish the regular season on the home court

April 7, 2025
In the final round of the VTB United Youth League regular season, Zenit U21 will host one of the tournament's top teams — Moscow's MBA-MAI-Junior. Both games will take place in Saint Petersburg, on the home court of the blue-whites, and will serve as the last test before the start of the playoffs.

At the moment, the Moscow team shares the top spot in the standings with CSKA Junior — both teams have 38 wins and 8 losses. MBA-MAI-Junior's last defeat came nearly a month ago in Kazan — a narrow 72:73 loss to UNICS's youth squad. Since then, they have secured four victories against Pari Nizhny Novgorod-Junior and Enisey-2.

Zenit U21 currently sits in fourth place — Roman Knyazev’s team has 32 wins and 14 losses. However, blue-whites is on an excellent run, having won their last seven games.

The head-to-head history includes 26 matchups, with a slight edge for the Moscow — 14 wins compared to Zenit’s 12.

The games will be held on April 8 and 9 at the Basketball Academy (12 Severnaya Road). Both games start at 18:00 St. Petersburg time. Admission is free for fans, and live broadcasts will be available on the VTB United Youth League website.
