Zenit U21 will host Enisey-2 on home court

April 3, 2025

The youth team of the blue-whites will play the final two series of regular season games in the 2024/25 VTB United Youth League, both taking place in St. Petersburg. In the upcoming round, Zenit U21 will face Krasnoyarsk's Enisey-2.

With just four games remaining in the regular season, it is already certain that the visitors will finish last in the standings. So far, Krasnoyarsk has secured only two wins this season. One of those victories came in a recent away game in Kazan, where Sergey Bukarev's team defeated UNICS-2 with a score of 92:73.

The key player for Enisey-2 is guard Egor Skuratov. He is the league's top scorer, averaging 19.8 points per game, and also ranks among the tournament's top five rebounders with 7.8 per game.

The head-to-head history favors Zenit U21, with 38 victories for the St. Petersburg team compared to just four for the visitors.

Zenit U21 head coach Roman Knyazev on the matches against Krasnoyarsk:

When facing an opponent that has lost motivation, the most important thing is to maintain focus and the desire to give 100%. We demand this from our players because we have crucial games ahead, and we must approach them at the right level. We cannot allow the difference in our opponent's situation to affect our game.

Both matches will take place at the Basketball Academy (Severnaya Road, 12). The game on April 4 will start at 14:00, and the match on April 5 will begin at 16:30 St. Petersburg time. Entry is free for all fans. A live broadcast will be available on the VTB United Youth League website.
