Zenit U21 will play against TSSP-Khimki-2 away
Zenit U21 will play their final away games of the 2024/25 VTB United Youth League regular season. Roman Knyazev's team will face the Moscow Region club TSSP-Khimki-2.
Khimki confidently hold fourth place in the standings with 32 wins and 10 losses. The blue-whites youth team is in fifth place, closely trailing with 28 wins.
In the previous round, Roman Pakhnyuk's team split their two-game series against CSKA Junior: the first game was won by the opponent (55:80), but TSSP-Khimki-2 took revenge in the second (70:67).
The Moscow Region club boasts the best defense in the league, allowing an average of 66.3 points per game. Additionally, they lead in steals, averaging 11.5 per game.

The leaders of TSSP-Khimki-2 are guard Alexander Konotop, who averages 12.5 points per game; forward Andrey Bovduy, who grabs 8 rebounds per game (third in the league); and point guard Bronislav Smirnov, who records 4.9 assists (fifth in the league) and 2.8 steals (the best in the tournament).
Head-to-head statistics favor the home team, with 33 wins against 15 for the blue-whites. In the first-round games in Saint Petersburg, Khimki won the opener (72:78), but Zenit U21 responded with a victory in the second match (74:61).
